The Pterodactyl is a manageable driver for young disc golfers. The rim isn't too wide, thus a high-speed release is not necessary. However, it still lands in the "distance driver" category and provides a great gateway to longer, more impressive throws down the fairway. Like other Dino Discs, it is lightweight, floats in water, and is aimed at young players or those players without a lot of arm speed.
Egg Shell plastic is a surprisingly grippy, yet semi-firm plastic blend with some really fun decorative effects like splatters, swirls, and sparkles. It helps the Dino Disc models look bright and whimsicle, perfect for players who love lightweight, floating discs.

Dino Discs
Dino Discs is a boutique disc brand that offers ultra lightweight discs. Discs in the 100 - 140 gram range work great for children who want to join their friends and family on the course. They are also great options for senior players or anybody who has a slow arm speed but wants to throw a variety of different disc types. Dino Discs are made in a collaborative effort with multiple manufacturers. They include some molds from ABC Discs and some molds from Gateway, with fun, colorful plastic blends courtesy of Zing and Gateway.
Note: While Dino Discs use a more light weight plastic in existing PDGA approved molds, they are not approved by the PDGA for use in sanctioned events.
